Scott Carrothers is founder and General Manager of Foolproof Bookkeeping. He is a Certified Professional Bookkeeper with an extensive and varied background in both accounting and the hospitality industry.
Scott holds a diploma in accounting from McMaster University and spent 5 years as the Vice President of Finance for a leading private hospitality corporation that held 10 separate corporations under its umbrella. He has 5 years of experience teaching accounting and cost control, among other courses, in the Hospitality Program at Fanshawe College.
His entrepreneurial experiences in food, retail, and manufacturing span a broad spectrum. As a teenager, he started as a short order cook and worked his way up to becoming the Executive Chef of a large hotel and conference center.
Scott has a deep background in training and development and uses these skills to create standardized procedures that are unique to each client, ensuring that the accounting systems he creates support businesses in the most productive and beneficial manner possible.
